FAQ: How long will the rub and sauce last?

The rubs will last for a year or more in the freezer in air tight storage. I usually make a few batches at the same time and place it in a large zip top bag. I then place the zip top bag down in an airtight plastic container.
The sauce will be good for about 3-4 months (possibly longer) in a closed container in the fridge. An old ketchup bottle that's been cleaned works great however, because the garlic pieces won't always fit through the hole in the bottle, use a sharp knife to make the hole just slightly larger.
Vacuum sealing the rub and/or canning the sauce will make it last indefinitely but experts say the flavor will begin to degrade after about a year.
